Diary entry 9th May 2012
I bought a blender/juicer around 2 years ago and never used it. It was sat in a cupboard gathering dust. Now that we have moved house and have alot more kitchen space i decided to display it. Then i thought that if i am eating fruit why not blend the fruit with fat free natural yoghurt. I googled whether blending fruit would alter the sugar content in fruit and whether i would have to syn it but besides depleating the fibre content its a myth that blending fruit releases more sugar. So with this in mind yesterdays smoothie was nice but still a little sour. I had a lightbulb moment and thought that rather than eating the Muller light yogurts seperate i would substitute the natural yogurt for the Muller light. Its still fat free so it still fits in with the slimming world plan. result - delicious.

Today i ate:

Morning:
1 x Alpen Light bar - A choice
Muller light vanilla anc choc yogurt
Pineapple pieces
diet coke with slice of lime
water ~ throughout the morning

Lunch:
Jacket potato
Beans
Salad ~ made of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, carrots, egg, cabbage
tbsp salad cream light - 1 syn
fruit salad ~ made of watermelon, grapes, pineapple, apple, kiwi

Tea:
Rice and Prawn stir fry
1 x cup Thai Jasmine rice
400g fantail prawns
sweetcorn
mushrooms
spring onions
chinese 5 and thai 7 spice
spray light
balsamic glaze
corriander
salad ~ made up of egg, lettuce, cherry tomatoes

Evening snack:
Smoothie ~ made with:
1 x banana
handfull of strawberries
kiwi
Muller light fat free vanilla and choc yogurt

Slimming World is the answer...

Diary entry 8th May 2012.
So ive been away for a while and i have eaten tons.
Yes in just over a year since my last post i have lost 18lb and gained it all back. Not because the diet didnt work but because Christmas was approaching and we are now allowed to eat at our workdesk and i wanted to indulge in the xmas spirit without holding back. I thought i would start afresh in the new year but with this and that and a few excuses its taken me up to May to start. Ironic that i 1st started Slimming World last June and lost the 18 within a matter of 6 weeks.
Oh well not to dwell on the past.
However i aim to start again and record everythign i eat.
This may be a dull blog to read to some so i appologies for that but for me i want to look back at this record and be able to see how i reached my goal weigh.

I started a new diary and one of my work collegues left me a little inspirational messgae.
She wrote " Today Lisa is going to be a very good girl as she is starting slimming world, not that she needs too. Good luck Lisa you can do this kitten!"

Start weight15st 10lb

Measurements:
waist 47 in
bubbies ~ (under) 43in
thigh 27in
ankle 16in
calf 16.5in
ring finger 6.5cm

So here is what i ate today.

Morning:
Diet Coke ~ with lemon slice
Water - 2 x 250ml bottles ~ throughout the day.
Pineapple pieces

Lunch:
Salad ~ made of lettuce, carrot, cherry tomatoes, egg, spring onions.
Chicken and rice stir fry made up of ~ Basmati rice - not weighed about a cup full, chicken skinless and all visible fat removed, spring onions, balsamic glaze, spray light, sweetcorn, mushrooms, Chinese 5 spice and Thai 7 spice, dried corriander.(made the evening before)

Smoothie:
handfull of blueberries
1 x banana
1 x kiwi fruit
4 tbsp fat free natural youghurt

Mid afternoon:
2 x Alpen Light bars - Cherry Bakewell - A choice
water

Tea:
Jacket potato with beans and 3 x Babybel light - B choice
left over rice from lunch
side salad ~ lettuce, cabbage, carrots
diet coke

Hello my name is...

Hello readers,

Ive been wanting to do a blog like this for a while and i have no excuses other than the lame old "just havent got round to it yet".

Well today i thought i would start.
As you can see from the title, this blog is going to be about food.
Eating food, making food, wanting food, pictures of lovely delicious things i want to eat.

My name is Lisa and i am a foodie.

So please feel free to stop by and see my posts on all things food releated.
I thought i would kick off with a nice picture of my breakfast this morning. I missed the bottle of Evian water off, but shes here next to me now.



I decided on Friday night that this year i am going to run the "Race for Life". I have added a link here if you would like more information.

Basically its a national run that is organised by the charity Cancer Reasearch to raise funds.
Its planned for 3rd July 2011 which gives me just over 4 months to train.
I also joined a gym in January and have lost over 1st up to now. Im guessing my new best friend is going to be Mr Treadmill.
